tough mother.
seriously the mudder is no joke. i completely underestimated it's greatness. the average time to complete the course is 3 and a half hours. sure i'm almost 22 weeks preggo, but i can walk for 3 and a half hours...just never thought we'd be scaling redonkulous mountains! at one point i glanced over at the highest peak of this mountain in the distance and swore i saw people, but thought there was no absolute way we'd be headed there. oh but yes we were. there was practically straight up and down terrain, rocks, bushes, you name it we went through it. and 3 and a half hours is a joke because there is NO WAY anyone would be able to do it in that time with as big of a group we had, with all the back up at the obstacles. and the obstacles. i didn't even attempt them, but they consisted of: scaling a slippery slope, army crawling under barbed wire, jumping into pits of ice water and mud, carrying trees. hard core. it was hilariously entertaining though. the costumes, the old people, the young idiots. yes our team name was balls and dolls. yes we climbed the mountains you see in the pictures. yes that is my gum i chewed for 7 straight hours, and without it might not have made it. yes those guys carried that dinosaur with them the entire way (see picture below). yes i got my beer when i crossed the finish line, i am from ceres. but no i didn't drink it. i got the cabin dubbed award for tough mother and am proud to say i conquered the mudder. well, conquered in a relative, 22 weeks preggo type conquered.

saturday strollin.

last weekend we did the following:
+ yummy lightening mcqueen pancakes.
+ farmers market with linda. by the way. linda this is elisha, elisha this is linda. linda is a new member of the family so i figured it was imperative that you meet. linda is ella's new favorite maltese puppy who travels in a purse and comes with us wherever we go.
+ the library. we had been missing the library.
+ sprinkler lovin' at cici and pa's house. molly benefited from that sprinkler time as well. see above picture for evidence.

p.a.r.t.y.

not overboard, but put together. ella bounced the bounce out of the bounce house and loved every second as she flew down the slide. sometimes literally flying off the edge and landing with a thud on the ground. no fear, a smile never left her face. muffins and scones were the food. and what party would be complete without homemade ice cream? she got the cutest gifts. was exhausted at the end of the day. another party in the books.

and she would be three.
