life lately / pinkalicious playtime.

+ ella's favorite book right now it pinkalicious, we read it one to two times a day at least. pinkalicious cupcakes were obviously a must have so we got to work. ella poured all the ingredients, took a nap on command so she could frost, and added all the sprinkles to the cupcakes. she was a happy camper to say the least. she even asked me to TAKE a picture of her in front of the oven with the cupcakes. unheard of.
+ as captain watch winds down (i check into the hospital in t-minus 9.5 hours) we took the opportunity to spend some quality family time together. several lego creations were built, books were read, cars were raced, puzzles were pieced together, and treasure hunts were conquered. there was lots of shrieks and screams, and of course running. ella was involved so that's a given. in order for us to think of what to do next...ella had to mimic brian, hence the photos. good thing i was there...those two brains? i'm just saying.  :)

ps next post will feature the ol captain himself. i can hardly believe it. pray for a smooth, painless delivery :)
