we be craftin'
to pass the time until the arrival of captain, ella and i are craftin'. today we made heart crayons. using scissors to cut the wrappers off the crayons is hand cramping, but necessary. ella chatted my ear off the entire time through the wrapper removal process. no joke. she couldn't get enough of organizing and lining up the crayons in perfect order, talking about the crayons and her favorite colors, and complimenting herself as a helper. surprised? she also enjoyed taking pictures 'like momma was doing.' next, i chopped up the crayons, added a little glitter to the bottom of the mold (which i got at target hollar), and let ella fill the molds with the crayons. finally, a little patient waiting, 17 minutes to be exact at 230 degrees and whola, heart crayons.
